I worked at St. Anthony's Medical Center full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

The campus is beautiful. The benefits are decent. It is not part of a system (which speeds decision making).

Cons

The organization has become more "corporate America" in the past 6 months. The family atmosphere is gone.

Advice to Management

Pick a strategy and stick to it long term.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at St. Anthony's Medical Center part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good location? There weren't a lot of good things to say.

    Cons

Horrible company to work for. Raises and bonuses disappeared due to the company having financial problems. Always short staffed yet they never wanted to offer overtime.
They often made seemingly pointless changes without ever consulting the employees.

    Advice to Management

Learn to take care of your employees so the employees take care of the company.

"Not Many Employees are treated well or paid that great in the entire hospital----> unless you are a doctor or CEO."

I have been working at St. Anthony's Medical Center full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There is a new CEO that was just hired his name is Jim. I hope he straightens the place out. He seems to have a lot of experience. The hospital is the one out of 2 hospitals that are independent in St. Louis. Many employees often talk negatively about the hospital and tell you to seek treatment some where else.

    Cons

Management and regular workers are not happy with jobs and may take it out on patients and coworkers. One of the lowest paying hospitals in St. Louis.

    Advice to Management

Management should involve all staff in meetings not just management or selected employees to meetings. Many employees feel their voice is not heard... and good change does not happen often. Many times employees don't feel appreciated.
