Pros

St. Luke's hires good people and lets them do their job without micromanaging them. They really do care about the employees.

Cons

Culture is a little outdated. All managers, directors, executives still have secretaries who handle their calls, read/send their emails, manage their calendars for them. Managers given reserved parking over employees in areas where parking is a concern. No major downsides.

Advice to Management

Keep walking the talk. Keep your employees a priority and they will keep the patients their priority. Overall management is doing a great job!

    Pros

St. Luke's is an excellent employer where individuals have a voice. The Treasure Valley is a great place to live, work and raise a family.

    Cons

St. Luke's has not been, but may been leaning towards, allowing PAs to be medical providers within the system. PAs are still not part of the Medical Staff, but are credentialed as courtesy Allied Health members working under the direction of a physician member of the Medical Staff.

    Pros

Great positive environment, but you have to work for it. Be smart, act respectful, keep patients as a top priority, and you'll do great. Slack, and pay the price.

There are definitely worse places in Idaho to work than St. Luke's. Much worse.

    Cons

Middle management can be shaky at times. Employee favoritism has been seen there.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.
