I have been working at Stanford University full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I love working at Stanford. There are great scientists here, very collaborative, interactive, high level.

    Cons

It is big, hard to know of everything that is going on. Also, the salary, though relatively good compared to other universities is not high enough to live comfortably in the Silicon Valley.

    Advice to Management

Pay better postdoc salaries. It would make your employees a lot happier.

    Pros

Stanford University is filled with the most creative and innovative minds on the planet. The people are outgoing, the campus is a paradise, the pay is amazing, and the experience is one of a kind.

    Cons

The atmosphere is so forward thinking that it can sometimes be intimidating. People assume that everyone is as intelligent as they are and responsibilities may be given out too early.
