I have been working at Stanford University full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

There are a lot of perks and so many connections to various industries including tech, biotech, and education. There are a lot of resources on campus to help students with professional development, and there are many extracurricular activities students can take advantage of to enhance their overall experience at Stanford.

Cons

Despite how much money is available to the school, some of the lab spaces are pretty tight and the equipment is dated. I wish more of the money can trickle down to improving the infrastructure of the lab space.

I have been working at Stanford University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very smart students and professors, chill atmosphere, nice weather.

    Cons

It's easy to be lazy if you have an inclination.

    Advice to Management

I think the Math department is managed very well. It's not directly relevant to my own experience as a graduate student, but perhaps the large introductory classes like Math 51 should be re-designed; as of now, there is significant room for improvement.
