I worked at Stanford University full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Fantastic benefits and employee wellness programs, great alternative commute incentives, annual performance review can lead to regular raises, solid retirement savings policies, access to gym facilities

      Cons

High pressure to perform and publish, parking at work costs at least $30/month and is limited, and a lot of positions are contracted for only one year at a time

      Advice to Management

Keep up the employee wellness and commute incentives! These programs make a very positive difference for work-life balance and offset the costs and headache of parking on campus.
