    Negative Outlook

I worked at Stanley Black & Decker full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Paycheck each week if you're a floor worker. If you're good with a manager you can be apart of the 80% that only do 20% of the work.

    Cons

Below average pay. There are no raises for certain departments. No chance at promotion, company hires from outside. History / current racism issues (look at legal cases). Management will treat you badly

    Advice to Management

Stanley Black and Decker care only about the numbers. They need to do another firing of management like they did after the last lawsuit. Gives annual raises, and promote from within the company vs constantly hiring people from outside and having them start above the senior members.

I have been working at Stanley Black & Decker for less than a year

    Pros

The strategy team is brilliant, hard-working and humorous - I have been truly blessed getting to work with them this past summer.

    Cons

Lack of consistent pace - some days are busy while others may be slower but that seems to be the nature of the corporate beast.

I worked at Stanley Black & Decker full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits including a makerspace and free classes. Very intelligent co-workers and interesting projects to work on.

    Cons

Often need to work 45-50 hours a week during certain parts of development. Salary is not competitive.

    Advice to Management

Give more specific timeline for promotions/career paths and encourage employees to take time off after working excessive hours without using up their vacation hours.
