I worked at Stanley Black & Decker full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

I learnt a lot working for B&D (left before the Stanley acquisition so can't comment) I was promoted within a year of being there. Great People, Well-known brand / products, Product and development training was also very good.

Cons

System in place for promo / pricing approvals was very slow. Managers focusing on doing things to make themselves look good rather than focus on guiding their team to succeed and grow.

Advice to Management

If an employee is not happy in their role - do not ignore; take on board why - by keeping people in roles to help the company rather than focus on the employees needs results in good people leaving
