I have been working at Staples full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Staples loves promoting people who already work for the company.
Fairly Stress Free
Work/Life Balance
Company Values

Cons

At times you have to go through some hoops to get things done, not too surprising for such a large company though.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Staples part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Friendly coworkers
    - Respectful of working hours
    - Learned sales techniques and how to interact with customers

    Cons

    - Did not like the business model -- must sell every electronic with a protection plan or else it is not worth it to sell.
    - Management would lie to customers about a product not being in stock because they knew the customer would not buy a protection plan

    Advice to Management

If you stress true appreciation for your customers, do not keep using the deceptive sales techniques that Staples teaches all of its employees. It made me never want to work there again because I do not want to be a part of a company which encourages its employees to lie to customers.
