    Pros

    Cons

    Advice to Management

The worse thing to do when in a bad economy is cut your labor. When the economy is bad people are more picky about spending their money. In many cases people will shop for lower prices. But in many cases, lower prices equals lower quality, both in products and service. When you cut labor, service suffers. How can reduce the number of people and still expect your customers to get the same quality of service. Also laying off tenured managers to hire others at a lower pay rate is a quick fix, it will haunt you when these new managers cant run the store and your loyal customers dont see the faces they come to see. Also, please please please take a look at what your DMs are doing. If things are so bad, maybe they should be in stores helping, not sitting around somewhere sending threatening emails out to store and lowering moral.
