I worked at Starbucks part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are good and the bonus and sabbatical structure is unheard of for a retail position. Starbucks provides extensive training opportunities, allowing any barista to become a coffee variety specialist while advancing sales and management skills.
Opportunities to give back in the community are plentiful. The Starbucks community regularly puts together community service projects that are staffed by any Starbucks employee who is savvy enough to watch the bulletin boards, and if there's not a project you're interested in you can organize your own.

    Cons

The rushes here are some of the most gruelling I've ever worked. People love their Starbucks, and they love it on time.

    Advice to Management

The managers I worked for were efficient and competent, giving intense and individualized attention to new hires based on their positive first impressions.

I worked at Starbucks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free coffee.. Other than that no pros...

    Cons

    Low pay, micro-managing, General BS

    Advice to Management

Money talks.. If we have to put up with corporate BS and guests drinks like the nonfat double mocha frappachino enema.. Then it better pay well..
