Cons

Consensus driven organization means decisions are slow. Compensation in "total rewards" not pay...

I have been working at Starbucks part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

really flexible scheduling/understands the need for a life/work balance. great benefits. raises every six months based on your performance. you get stock benefits. highly encourages people to move up in the company. unlimited drinks when on the clock (for yourself only. this is great because it allows you to experiment with products to come up with your favorite concoction). free one pound coffee/tea of your choice every week. 30% off when off the clock. usually hires other cool people to work with.

    Cons

if you're a pretty self-expressive person like me (in terms of getting your nails done, tattoos/piercings in places that are hard to hide, etc.), then you're not gonna be too happy with sbux law. it's also really corporate; customer service is HUGE and you have to be a "yes" man/woman to ANYONE/EVERYONE as you try your darndest not to go off on the really stupid, annoying people that try and cheat the system including the people that aren't really customers and bum around using the free wi-fi all day.
