I worked at Starbucks full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

-Flexible schedule especially once you have been there for a few months and are friendly with the manager
- Meet a lot of great people that can help you in the future since you get to know them on a personal level

Cons

-the pay is not great, but it is nice to get tips in cash every week
- you work weekends a lot and early morning shift can be rough

    Free pound of coffee every week, benefits, a wage+tips, and overall great management!

    Cons

    Of course, like any service job, sometimes the customers were annoying. It would get busy during peaks of the day, and there would be stress, but everything would cool down quickly.

    I worked at Starbucks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    -Big sense of community
    -Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental
    -401K with matching up to 5% (i believe)
    -Fun atmosphere
    -Free drinks on your shift
    -Free pound of coffee or tea weekly
    -30% discount when off the clock

    Cons

    -Hours are all over if you're a Barista could work 0-30+ different weekly
    -Schedule changes a lot, not always consistent
    -You were encouraged to focus on open availability and not be able to juggle school.
    (Above are dependent on your store and manager)

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your partners and make them feel like they are part of Starbucks and not just the bottom of the barrel in the company.
