    I have been working at Starbucks part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free pound of coffee and 30% off drinks (any Starbucks, any time) was the best perk.
    Health benefits and all that if you need it. They have tuition reimbursement for students ($500/year) if you work there for at least a year.

    Cons

    Everything. Always felt understaffed. Constant cleaning. Within a 30 minute span, I could be making drinks, then sweeping/mopping, wiping down tables and the condiment bar, stocking cups and lids;
    Opening shifts - need I say anything else? Rude customers. Those customers who think they own the world because they purchase Starbucks 4 times a day. Extremely rude and seem to forget we're human and mistakes happen. Too much required for such low pay. Had to be extremely pushy with customers when at the register. Must ask if they want food, sample, and if they wanted to take a pound of coffee home. Extremely difficult to do in the middle of the rush.

    Advice to Management

    With how much profit and growth the company makes, more focus on staffing. Although my store wasn't a big store, we were constantly busy. Whether we had the morning rush, the mid-day high school rush, or the night-rush, always felt understaffed

    Rather demote people inside and hire people from the outside for new position in MA
