I have been working at Starbucks full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Work doesn't follow you home, sense of community, benefits, pay, discount on coffee and products.

Cons

It's a LOT of hard work somedays. Every year they change the way they do things pretty drastically. The dress code is restrictive and sort of ridiculous.

Advice to Management

Never expect respect by telling, never forget how hard it is to be at the bottom of the ladder.

I have been working at Starbucks part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, great benefits for a minimum of 20 hours a week, 401k and stock options. fast paced work which can make time feel like it's flying by.

    Cons

The pay is pretty crummy. You start out at about minimum wage and every 6 months you get a review. Depending on your performance you get a couple cents for a raise. I've never seen anybody get a full dollar for a raise, even with a perfect score. It can be hard to get by on the low wage, especially when trying to raise a family. And not every manager stays on top of reviews, sometimes you may get skipped over, which can be unfair.

    Advice to Management

    Raise the pay
