I have been working at Starbucks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The greatest part about working as a barista at Starbucks was, predictably, the people. My coworkers, managers, store manager, and district managers were all lovely. Helpful, pleasant, and concerned with me as a person. Unrelatedly, the work was instructive in that I was able to learn a great deal about coffee: production processes, chemical attributes, and flavor profiles.

    Cons

Like any customer service job, the customers could be rather unpleasant. Fortunately, they were few and far between. Starbucks the company prepared me well for dealing with these folks, so I never really minded.

    Advice to Management

I would advise the higher-ups to take more risks with their in-store music. They don't do a terrible job at the moment, but it has a lot of room for improvement, too.
