I worked at Starbucks part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Flexible work scheduling, benefits even part time, great co-workers.

Cons

The corporate atmosphere, plus I worked at a 24 hour Starbucks and had to work over night when I first started.

I worked at Starbucks full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The people were amazing!!! Best coffee and great benefits!!! The total package

    Cons

No room for growth once you're internal. It seems to be cut throat when trying to promote to DM and above. Senior leadership treats you like a number.

    Advice to Management

treat everyone at all levels with respect. It shouldn't be a dog and pony show when senior management come for routine visits.

I have been working at Starbucks part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

lots of great things, good benefits, good corporate structure, opportunity.

    Cons

DISORGANIZED. Starbucks head office is doing everything they can to constantly perfect the stores but its to much change. to many different expectations. things differ between management (could be store specific) to many different understanding of health codes, and rules and regulations. makes for an inconsistent environment, sort of a "roll with the punches" place, which is fine if your not an overachiever. high turnover, for most people its a transition job.

    Advice to Management

be more consistent, communicate better with your staff and management team, get on the same page.
