I have been working at Starbucks part-time (More than a year)

Pros

I'm speaking strictly working as a Barista. (Worked there from 08-09)
Great work environment for high school/college students.

Great coffee, easy going customers, AWESOME pastries (though you get sick of them pretty quickly).

A free bag of coffee a week, good employee discounts

Cons

Hours varied from week to week.
The occasional difficult customer

I worked at Starbucks full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Benefits, benefits, benefits They offer great benefits, just be prepared to pay for them.

    Cons

60-80 hours work week - Salaried Slave - your subordinates do not care the hours and effort to put into making Starbucks money, just that you give them everything they want and need or they turn around and make up stories about you.

    Advice to Management

If you reach the finish line alone, what have your gained? When you have subordinates in constant fear are you really coaching and mentoring?

I have been working at Starbucks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the pros at working at Starbucks are: Flexible hours, reasonable pay, amazing benefits like weekly tips ($40), decent health insurance ($70/mo), and even a free pound of coffee or box of tea per week! Tuition reimbursement, stock has never been higher

    Cons

High maintenance customers, constant cleaning and restocking tedious little things, having to multitask like crazy, having to keep calm in a stressful environment

    Advice to Management

Howard is a genius of a CEO
