I worked at Starbucks part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

-Great customer interactions, with repeat customers that you could build relationships with
-Free coffee
-Fun work environment, if you choose
-Made good friends and community connections
-Free stock over time

Cons

- As a part-time employee (20-30hrs/wk), stocks only amounted to a total of about $90 worth over a period of nearly four years
- Early morning start time if you work the morning shift (Hours depend on your store. Mine was 4:30am)

Advice to Management

-Continue in the direction of small community stores. These foster an excellent environment for employee-customer relationship building.

I have been working at Starbucks part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

the company as a whole values its employees. Part-time employees are eligible for full benefits as well as a pound of coffee a week and accrued stocks.

    Cons

Low starting wage - raise when promoted to shift was not significant, no additional compensation for going through certification processes for coffee master and barista trainer (the barista trainer role actually results in less income because tips aren't received),

    Advice to Management

Include a monetary incentive for those who are invested in the company enough that they choose to become a coffee master and/or barista trainer.
