I have been working at Starbucks full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Great benefits for both full time and part time employees, also if you need a part time job, its easy to work the early shift and be done by 10-11 am and have the whole rest of the day for other things!

Cons

Pay sucks. Horrible. And they do not train you well. They push sales on coffee beans, but most of your customers are coming to get coffee from you and not make their own - really annoying to push that on them.

    Pros

    flexible hours
    great people to work with
    a lot of opportunity

    Cons

Difficult to stay motivated, customer service can be taxing on one's emotions

    Advice to Management

Corporate should look for more potential from their retail stores when hiring for their corporate offices, it makes more sense to look for people who already know the culture.

I worked at Starbucks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great great training
Promotion opportunities up to SM level
    Flexible hours
    Benefits
    Customers

    Cons

    Young, unprofessional employees
    NO promotional opportunities above SM
    Somewhat unattainable goals
Dealing with people at their worst

    Advice to Management

Stir the pot a little with your DMs. It's a running joke that you'll never get promoted to DM unless one dies. You get stuck with one that's been in the same area for 20 years and its stifling.
