I worked at Starbucks full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

The environment is comfortable, the product enjoyable, the people who work next to you are wonderful. The weekly coffee payout is truly missed in my home as well as the employee discount. One of the better companies at communicating to operations staff company future and current trends.

Cons

Hours of work can be challenging given strict budgets on labor and food costs. The pay is low to moderate for managers, however, the bonuses helped considerably when meeting store goals. Mid level management has low turn over. Very challenging to move up in positions.

I have been working at Starbucks part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have flexible scheduling, the staff is very professional with practically no office drama.

    Cons

Very minor hazing at my store, but management is cracking down on it. Not too big of a deal.

  2. "An excellent place to work, but be careful taking a promotion"

    Pros

Flexible hours, amazing benefits, community involvement! Training program is complete and concise, and there is a big focus on employees being comfortable in their roles. When you find the right store, you're definitely a family.

    Cons

Stores are very independent of one another. One store will be amazing, and the next will beat you down. Upper management does not get involved in employee conflicts at all, there is rarely, if ever, disciplinary action taken on things that need it.
