Pros

Starpower is a highprofile dealer and you can make a very good income if you can deal with the micro management and used car sales atmosphere. Kiss up enough and you will get a few scraps thrown your way and a few easy sales from the athletes and freinds of the family who always think they are going to get a better deal...otherwise you might starve on the floor. Aside from management the people there are great and enjoyable to work with.

You do get to enjoy hearing about how management enjoys spending time with their family and enjoying their new multi million dollar homes while you get to think about how to avoid foreclosure and try to remember what your family looks like since you havent seen them in weeks.

Cons

They will tell you how much they are helping you by cutting commisions by 50%. Don't belive a word they say about hours or pay unless you get it in writing, even then it might not do you much good. Daily ego beatings are par for the course, avoid them and enjoy watching other employees walk around in fear of "01". Get on the bad side of the family and life is a living hell.

Hours are not too bad, they only want you to work half a day. You work for 12 hours seven days a week except Thanksgiving and Christmas, what you do with the other 12 hours is up to you

Advice to Management

There is no point in giving advice or feedback unless you like being told how wrong you are. The only good ideas are thought of by the family.

    Pros

They do have a high draw for the industry, but it is difficult to make anymore than that

    Cons

The owners are always getting involved in the individual sales of the team. They micro manage everything.

    Advice to Management

Let your employees do their job and stop trying to control everything.

I have been working at Starpower as an intern

    Pros

Executives and senior management is very accessible. You can have a voice in front of the C-level executives. Good work-life balance. Most of the employees stick with the company for years.

    Cons

There are no such cons as such, but it's a small to medium size company. If you want to work at a multinational company you might want to look else where.

    Advice to Management

I think that the management is doing good as of now. All I can say is that keep up the good work.
