I have been working at Starwood Hotels & Resorts full-time (More than a year)

Pros

- They try to care
- They try really hard to get you to succeed

Cons

-Average if not low pay
-Many people who call are angry and take it all out on you
-They have so many rules they can't even keep them all straight
-They punish you for not knowing all the rules when they miss some themselves
-NO room for advancement
-a lot of favoritism

Advice to Management

You say you hire people for their potential and talent, but you do not give them the opportunity to use that potential or talent, because you micromanage so hard. You also need to listen to the people who are on the phone every day, because they are more knowledgeable about what is going on with the customers than you are.

I have been working at Starwood Hotels & Resorts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you are complacent in your life and there isn’t a need to grow or advance your career it’s the place to work.

    Cons

Too many politics, dated technology, no diversity, 40 hrs., benefits are not great, pay is not competitive, and some of the management style are not great managers. No severance policy. No integrity or authenticity.

    Advice to Management

Treat each member of your team with respect.
