I have been working at State Farm full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Generally, your salary is going up every year, whether you deserve it or not, even through the tough times. Some offices offer flexible work arrangements.

    Cons

The company is going through a major shift in focus and locations. Management is unable/unwilling to deal with conflict and tends to avoid it or slam all employees with mass emails asking for improvements in particular areas.

    Advice to Management

The talk of development for employees is great; it's time to force management to do the work of developing all people at all levels. This means honest critique.

  2. "Low pay compared to other large insurance companies"

I have been working at State Farm full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large company so it gives you a feeling of financial security.

    Cons

Low paying positions, and inconsistency in management regarding how workplace matters should be handled.

    Advice to Management

Employees at State Farm longer than 20 years are detrimental to continued success. Many are unable to accept change , and will create problems for new employees. Also if Human Resources could take a stand on a matter instead of switching when convenient.
