Pros

Well established with good industry name

Cons

Loosing site of core values, creating distrust and fear through "transformation" which is a code word for shrinking employee base anyway you can.

Advice to Management

Take a longer view

    I have been working at State Street part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible hours, Great Co-Workers, easy commute, convenient for a college job. Working with others encouraged and a very team felt atmosphere

    Cons

    Management almost nonexistent, if you miss work hours must be covered AND made up. But overall not a terrible amount of cons

    Advice to Management

    Train middle managers more in the systems they need to know, your employees shouldn't be delegated to do the work that the managers are supposedly getting paid to do
