I have been working at State of Georgia Department of Human Resources for more than 4 years

    Pros

The health insurance, stable income, solid location and networking opportunities are all pros when working within the State office of DHS.

    Cons

As with any job there are some cons that come with working for the State office of DHS; Stagnant, Top heavy organization, Lots of red tape, not much room for creativity and often complacent co workers.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your constituents and employees concerns to build a more efficient entity. Dive into the work that those under you do so you can gain a clearer understanding of the work that is being done not just the results the work yields.
