I worked at Stein Mart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Outstanding associates! Nicest people I ever worked with!

    Cons

No training or support from management. Very demeaning and unappreciative! You have to watch your back working there.

    Advice to Management

Find yourselves new jobs or get some much needed training in empathy, compassion and teamwork!

I have been working at Stein Mart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I started at $8 and there are raises every year depending on your performance. Now I make 8.24 two years later.
You can move up. Part timers have become leads and then managers.
You get a lot of hours if you're short staffed. I'm part time and get 30 hours most of the time and I think that's a good thing.
    The workers are very nice
    Will work with your schedule

    Cons

Short staffed most of the time so must work harder and a lot of multitasking.
Mostly older women as customers and they can be very grumpy and greedy when it comes to sales and coupons
