    Pros

Sterling is focused on its many different standards. Standards set in place to measure the performance of the individuals working in the store. As long as your standards are at or above the minimum, you could be promoted.

    Cons

You are only as good as you are today and tomorrow. Sterling, like many sales focused companies, only care about what you do today and tomorrow, not yesterday or last year.

    Advice to Management

Be consistent with what you ask of your associates. And just because a person can make sales goals, doesn't mean they will make a good manager.

    Pros

most people are fair minded and hard working

    Cons

other people are into cliques and will work only within those cliques
daily sales quotas out of line with reality (hello ... we are in a recession
have to cold call prior customer to 'get them back in to spend $'
    have to hit repair quota
    have to hit credit quota
have to hit payment protection plan quota
have to hit add on quota
    have to hit timepiece quota
have to hit enhanced service plan quota

    Advice to Management

try spending some money on marketing during prime time highly rated tv programs
quit the darn cold calling/trolling for sales from past customers
rather, spend some money on sales leads from folks that haven't bought from our company
