Pros
I loved working at CW Strittmatter in Manassas, VA. The job was not overbearing, the pay was great and there wasn't anyone "hovering" over you at all times.
Cons
I was let go because my daughter wanted to see her Daddy driving a big truck, my g-friend (her mother) let her run to me across the parking lot (NO DANGER ANYWHERE TO BE FOUND) and for that sweet moment I got let go. They took an innocent sweet daddy daughter moment and turned it into some safety violation. I didn't get a warning, I didn't get a "please don't do that again", I didn't get anything but "We're letting you go!" Why so quick to immediately FIRE someone who was doing a good job. My performance wasn't bad, I came to work, I did my job, I always tried to go the "extra mile" and do more but no...because my daughter wanted to hug her Daddy after work...when ALL THE TRUCKS had already returned to the shop, were parked and OFF.....I violated something or other and was immediately let go. Once again my family is on hard times because apparently management can't simply say "Please don't let it happen again." I would NEVER put my child at risk and I would NEVER purposely and knowingly violate company policy. I really liked working there but I'm disgusted by this action.....food banks here we come...
