Pros

Decent benifits, gives a good overall picture of industry as a whole.

Cons

Very little flexibility inthe work. More of a hierachical system instead of promotions based on merit. Politics rule as they do in many corporations, much of a person's success in this depend on how willing your manager is to let you try new things and how much they support your growth. Stryker is not a bad place to start a career, but long term prospects are very limited.

Advice to Management

Let your people try new things and grow. Don't put people in a nox and limit their potential.

    Pros

Big company with offices around the country and the world, cash and resources.

    Cons

Little inter-divisional communication and sharing of information and ideas, need to be a Stryker 'insider' to get promoted.

    Advice to Management

With more sharing and communication between divisions and better strategic planning the company could save money and grow faster. There is little cordination of goals and objectives and thus every-one worlks in their 'own little world'. - common goals and alignment within departments all the way down to the 'workers' would obviate this.

  2. "Understand the nature of a business"
