I worked at Subway part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

One of the best options in fast food, healthier options for lunch on site.

    Cons

franchise makes some aspects sketchy based on who is your owner, corners are cut and "mistakes" are made. Lack of corporate intervention leads to somewhat unprofessional dealings with problems.

    Advice to Management

Get off your high horse and treat everyone like a human being. You are a manager at subway, not the CEO of some huge corporation nor do you have any responsibilities that will have any effect on the world.

I worked at Subway part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly staff. Free food when you finish a shift. Not too many rules about joking around, or things like that. Management generally respects family or academic obligations. The uniform was free, so that was nice.

    Cons

I was given absolutely no training (Or even basic guidance) before being put on the line making sandwiches, and then yelled at for not doing things the way they like. Throughout my short time at subway I was given very little training, and generally expected to just know how everything worked. It was by no means a hard or challenging job, (And I wasn't expecting much, because it is fast food, after all) but not knowing what to do and then being yelled at for not doing it is generally pretty stressful

Also, constantly washing your hands and doing the dishes absolutely destroys your hands.

    Advice to Management

Please, for the love of god, dedicate some time to training new employees before you have them serve customers food.
