    Pros

Its a job to hold you over till something else comes along

    Cons

Poorly run facilities department. No sense of direction. Work schedules are changed constantly..pay is poor, benefits are worse. Turnover in this department is out of control. Lack of tools and hardware. Employees are totally worn down from lack of supervision.

    Advice to Management

Stop protecting your dead weight managers and fire them. Hire people who have knowledge of casino business. Top management has to stop looking over there shoulder and make decisions

I have been working at SugarHouse Casino full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The director of my department has a team that trusts and will do anything for him. The executives are available to
personally meet and discuss issues that concern you.

    Cons

Each department has personnel that bring specific knowledge and skills that make them good at their job. Surveillance, for example requires knowledgeof all games, policies and procedures, theft tecniques and how to recognize scam, operate and track with cameras and so on. For which we receive $15/ or less. What we do is much more. We also keeo the casino safe.and coordinate with Gaming, PSP, Phila P D,Security, another underpaid dept. Mgt argues that these wages arecomparable nationally, which is egregious. Show us that you value our work or you will lose the best.
Right now I qualify for food stamps and am gone through 20 t w e n t y years of saving in 2 years.
