No opinion of CEO

Pros

work life balance is the main thing - just about everyone is on the same wavelength about this, so it doesn't seem to vary that much by department

Cons

once you hit mid career, opportunities for advancement evaporate
if you're at all ambitious, you'll have one foot out the door

Advice to Management

communication from senior management about recent layoffs was terrible
their ready shoot aim approach has made everyone nervous about both job security and stewardship of the company
platitudes about how talented people are don't help

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Good people, right off of 128 - the location was a big part of why I chose to work there

    Cons

Too many people - easy to get lost in the shuffle. If you're looking for career advancement go somewhere smaller

"Disappointing. Effort was pointless as people's paths were predetermined."

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Decent work/life balance. Amiable coworkers. Clean bathrooms.

    Cons

Place is run like a sorority with rampant favoritism. Senior management has allowed this to carry on for years on end. Whether you languished or succeeded was, again, predetermined. Opportunities to advance were cut off at the pass, literally. So we can add unethical to the list as well.

    Advice to Management

Get real and break up the status quo.
