I have been working at SunGard full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

People - very smart and mostly helpful. Lots of modern tools.

Cons

Work life balance is terrible. It's OK - not to be working as long as your phone and laptop are handy. Expectation is that your life if now dedicated to the customer - not just you work day.

Advice to Management

Don't burn people out. Spend the money to get enough help.

I have been working at SunGard full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Plenty of career opportunities and, for the most part, you're empowered to make your own decisions. Friendly environment to work in. The company encourages working from home for many positions.

    Cons

Strong focus on cost-cutting which errs on the miserly. Sales positions can be exceptionally stressful. Distributed work force can lead to a feeling of disconnection from your peers and management.
