Neutral Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I worked at SunGard full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Nice perks: Can work from home from time to time, great gifts on your 5-10-15 years at work.

Smart developers

Constantly improving the release cycle and following the best practices.

Cons

Re-organization can happen frequently so this can be stressful.

Depending on the above, you can have a manager that doesn't share the same vision or ideas at all with the previous one so you will need to adapt.

I worked at SunGard full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of product lines catering to just about every market. Globally recognized name (can be a pro or con).

    Cons

SunGard grows by acquisition but does not do a great job of integrating those new businesses. The senior people in each acquired unit tend to have their eye on the door or on a more senior role elsewhere at SG and you are left with a lot of C+ talent.

    Advice to Management

Follow through on some of the integration of the acquired businesses.

I worked at SunGard full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

World wide scope, great people , enormous range of business, applications and opportunities

    Cons

The company is so wrapped up in a future sale they have forgotten their customer. Leadership is not interested in anything but a sale. Penny wise pound foolish they mask bug fixes as new functionality while continuing to disinvest in their people and core tech that exists only in powerpoint

    Advice to Management

Customer retention in the long run is easier than customer acquisition. Management needs to relate to the customer btw the customer is usually north American
