Pros

The people that are your teammates that meet the customers' needs day in and day out and make things happen.

Cons

Incentive plan is highly complicated and intertwines with many details making it difficult to track and very cumbersome to follow. I have worked at another bank, and the goals and incentives were very simple to follow and to track, and you were rewarded for your hard work and so was your branch. Payout was monthly. Opportunity logs and reports are way overdone and take time away from getting my job completed and in getting the revenue in for the branch. There is a lot of time adding up and wasted on too many reports and too many meetings.

Advice to Management

Computer systems should be showing you what the employee is getting in and accomplishing and then it should show in the employee's results of what they open, refer, and cross-sell. Let your employees do their job and let the accountability remain with his or her manager and simplify, simplify, simplify. You might be surprised how much better your cash flow looks, and less employee turnover would save the bank tons of money and benefit your shareholders.
