-Many growth opportunities for advancement.

Cons

-low wages
-manager had the power to make or break your career
-low payout on sales commissions
-stressful environment working in a branch

    I have been working at SunTrust full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good product knowledge training. Lots of tools available on line. Great systems (little down-time) etc. Good employee benefits

    Cons

    Push customer service, but don't allow local management to have any decision authority. Goals and expectations are unrealistic. Micromanagers to the max!!

    I worked at SunTrust part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Offered on the job training and CBL courses.

    *Last year of employment could not select 2007 from drop down.

    Cons

    No true career path to move from help desk / call center to more technical fields. Employee Reviews had category names like 'Ethics' and 'Morals', but the ratings given were for how fast you were able to log into your phone or tardiness; which had no real correlation to the Topic Heading.

    Advice to Management

    Reviews should be honest and succinct. Offering encouragement and opportunities for advancement would have been a motivational factor and I may have stayed with the company.
