Great growth opportunities within the corporate organization

    Cons

periodic layoffs due to market conditions

    Advice to Management

Grow the company into additional markets as SunTrust has a good product offering and competes well against other larger banks.

  2. "A stable company that offers good pay. Operations side has a dysfunctional senior management team."

I have been working at SunTrust full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There is a good pay structure, lots of opportunities for those starting out, great benefits for now, and a large footprint for those interested in moving around.

    Cons

SunTrust has done lots of outsourcing, and benefits are being cut back. Pay raises are scarce, but they pay bonuses regularly. Some non-contributors are allowed to take up space others are made to work harder. Management seems to have more of a 'Big Brother' attitude every year.

    Advice to Management

Cut red tape! The operations side of the bank is becoming a bureaucratic leviathan. Stop looking only at salaries when deciding on who to eliminate when job cuts are necessary.
