I have been working at Sunrise Senior Living full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

They provide what they promise to seniors and their family

Cons

Not enough hours to earn a living wage. No cross training & therefore it is hard to feel motivated to stay with the company if you are committed to work with seniors, have advance level training but; starts at the bottom hoping to be trained and advance.

Advice to Management

Cross-train, cross-train, cross-train. This creates loyalty. Look at a company such as Walmart that cross-trains and the results.

    Pros

    Great company basis will strong ethics, many oppourtunities to move into other positions.

    Cons

    Busy, and can be stressfull environment, multitasking is a must for this position.

    Advice to Management

    Higher standards when hiring those who will spend most time with residents.

    Pros

    The interview process and employee training programs are excellent.

    Cons

    Resident care is lacking because those hired as "Care Managers" do not have health care experience
    Responsibilities of the Health Care Coordinator endanger the individual's RN license.

    Advice to Management

    Do not ask for advice and feedback from employees if there are no plans to, at a minimum, to acknowledge it was received.
    There are too many chiefs.
