Pros

The people are great, as well as the managers. The work atmosphere is like any other dealership in that it is competitive but your coworkers are not trying to go behind your back and steal your customers. Everyone is trying to see that everyone else is making a living.

Cons

The owner cuts back on the number of bonuses given making it more difficult to make a living. We are always subject to his mood swings so one month you can make a lot of money but the next hardly anything because your bonuses disappear. Bonuses are the primary way that you earn an income at a car dealership.

Advice to Management

My advice would be to always have the same bonuses so that the employees can make sure that the same possibilities are there for them every month. By removing those possibilities one month but having them another month it makes it more difficult to count on a pay check when you need to pay bills.

I worked at Superior Automotive Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It had great income potential sure. Bosses were easy to work with and I learned a lot about the finance side of a car sale.

    Cons

The income potential was ALWAYS out of grasp. I was teased with how much one COULD make working there. But came to fruition literally only on one sale ever.

    Advice to Management

Provide ways to make more money. Would sell 10-12 cars and make minimum wage is NOT what motivates a sales person.

I worked at Superior Automotive Group (More than 8 years)

    Pros

you get to meet some great people and you learn how to converse with lots of different types of people.

    Cons

they want you to make all this money but dont train you well enough to do so, on top of that the way the business is set up they put you in position to lose money on every deal. the managers all say a different thing and they set you up to be in trouble every turn you take.

    Advice to Management

get on the same page, teach people how to the job you hire them for, have a better staff that wants to be there, when people mess up or break the rules punish them accordingly because there were many times that people were breaking rules that could have cost millions in fines and they did nothing about it.
