I worked at Supermedia full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great Training
Positive Management
A Needed Service for our clients

Cons

Hard to balance life priorities and continued employee training.
Greater interaction with loyal customers needed.

Advice to Management

When I was hired in 1989 at GTE Directories they said the yellow pages was the cash cow to fund new technology. While extreme competition for the always evolving new technologies can be intimidating; communication and appreciation for the tool and access in every home that yellow pages offer is priceless. Tools with the training to use them seamlessly is essential to the success of our/your clients.

I have been working at Supermedia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They had a great ramp up period during the sales training process. They also provided iPad and laptop for work use. Great direct manager.

    Cons

They had unrealistic expectations for sales quota and the product is extremely difficult to sell. I've been in sales for years, and never had as much trouble as I did with this product.

    Advice to Management

Try to determine realistic expectations for sales quota and possibly rework the pricing scheme.

I worked at Supermedia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits if you can manage to make enough sales.

    Cons

managers know absolutely nothing about the internet and information technology and the print industry is dying fast, so that is their only hope to grow. Without more tech savvy employees this company will never be what it once was.

    Advice to Management

Fire as many managers as you can and hire more tech oriented employees. Start working on the internet side of the company as heavily as you can.
