Pros

People who works at the local offices

Cons

Products, Fulfillment, Upper management, resources (TNS studies are from 2010), Alot more!

Advice to Management

Our company started sinking since 2009. Please ACKNOWLEDGE print is dying and invest some money in our on-line products, instead of trying to resell for yext or google (orange). Goals are just outrageous. (out of 1500 or so mc's and only hand full of them sold 50 new business for the year in 2012. Our goal is 50 new business per mc now) we are losing clients because company fulfillment process sucks! period.

    Pros

    Excellent trainers, benefits very good,

    Cons

Old yellow page company trying to compete in the internet marketing space. No attractive, innovative technology to compete in this competitive market place. A dead horse want-a-be trying to survive and hoping this new merger will keep them above water. This company is lost without a clear direction.

    Advice to Management

The best testament to the value of leadership is what happens in its absence – very little. If you fail to lead, your talent will seek leadership elsewhere. (Forbes – 10 reasons your top talent will leave). "This company needs better leadership and communication" .

I have been working at Supermedia full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If you can succeed, pay can be great and over the industry average. Benefits are good, although they used to be better.

    Cons

Management is fearful of losing their jobs and come down hard on employees. Sales reps are overworked, stressed, unhappy. Even long term employees want to leave. Miserable environment, poor management from top line down. No job security. Those that can't do, manage in this company.

    Advice to Management

Realize that even when numbers are down, your current media consultants still have value due to their past ability to do the job, their Supermedia product familiarity, and the vast knowledge of their customers' industries. You can't hire that. It's learned only after being on the job for an extended period of time, so don't be so quick to replace.
