I have been working at Syntel full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

The best thing is only the peers and team members who embody the the spirit and help you stay sane and believe things just might improve

Cons

Team management and addressing the concerns is the abysmal. The sheer way the Management makes you commit to Client's requirements and later ignores them is astounding to say the least.
Syntel probably has the worst support staff (HR, Finance, Admin, etc)

Advice to Management

Need to show up not just at the beginning of the Project and again at the end. Must be more involved throughout the time.

I have been working at Syntel full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Good for trainees. Initial compensation.

    Cons

Not very employee friendly company policies, uneven growth for different people, almost always extra hours of work (especially offshore), one needs to be making noise to get attention, otherwise most of the hard work is taken for granted and goes unnoticed. Offshore (india) infrastructure has lots of scope for growth.

    Advice to Management

To maintain transparency in all policies, at least on the annual appraisal system.
