Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Sysco full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

401k, benefits, paid time off

Cons

Too many changes, hard to keep up. My title has changed twice in the last year with no notice from management

Advice to Management

A more personal approach would help. Often, employees feel disposable.

    Pros

Good benefits, excellent 401K, paid time off, overall a good operating system that works well in delivering product to the end user.
Room to advance and transfer allover the country.
Good business model concept to develop the companies sales staff into a true food service business .

    Cons

Constant corporate changes that disrupt the sales part of the their business model, low morale, compensation has been adjusted 3 times in the last 18 months that has resulted in lower commissions, high turnover in sales staff,
Poor leadership in the location that I am currently employed at...3 VP of sales in the last 2 yrs, 5 diff DSM's in the last 6 months,
Last Fortune 100 company to invest in a Sales Management Software "SalesForce.com"
Salesforce.com is a good tool...the company needs to invest in the showing it's value to the Sales staff.

    Advice to Management

"listening" is a skill that Sysco sales staff is required to utilize when working w/ their customers prospective customers... Sales Managers & Corporate Leaders theoretically are equally responsible to show that they are implementing sales policy adjustments based upon info yielded from Surveys. Surveys results should be made public & the sales staff should be allowed to see what is beng acted upon to show advancement on any current issues.
