I have been working at Sysco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fast paced, highly diverse environment. Great experience and a wide open door on what you can learn. Colleagues help out and are more than willing to coach, teach, guide you. 80% of your time is working in cross functional teams. Opportunities for advancement are frequent.

    Cons

Environment and culture are changing and it can be difficult at times to adapt. At times you are working on many projects with various deadlines and it can become difficult to manage.

    Advice to Management

Going through a lot of change which gives the feel of an unclear direction sometimes. At times Sysco feels that we are moving a little too fast and have too many major projects going on at once.

Advise rethinking the way we are implementing one of our major projects, instead of by company do it by division (accounting, marketing, sales, etc.)

Invest in your employees, instead of projects, to retain talent. We are asked for our opinions but only have small windows to fit them in and sometimes the answers don't feel like we are actually being heard/addressed.
