Former Employee - Retail Store Manager in Easton, PA
    Recommends
    Approves of CEO

    Pros

40 hours per week as manager
    generous benefits amd vacation package
    positive work environment
team work environment both in store and in region

    Cons

Retail hours of course, which means open every day of the year except for Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day
    Recent lack of direction
    Hour allotments for smaller stores

    Advice to Management

A store manager is most effective when they can directly influence their team on the floor during the day. Make sure you are not resorting to micro manage stores with unneccessary reporting. Be clear as to what results you want affected when introducing another report and if the results are already positive in a desired impact area then the report may not be as important to that location.
