I worked at T-Mobile part-time (More than a year)

Pros

i worked for T-mobile as a sales associate for a little over a year and a half. they have a great learning structure and care about their employees. They work as a family. They take pride in ownership and give you the opportunities to make some awesome money. Made more money at a part-time retail job then some people do. Theres a lot of perks working for this company. For instance, make a bunch of money, save a ton on your cellphone bill, at part time 1, full health benefits(health, dental, eye, life ins) 401k. etc etc

Cons

You are measured in absolutely every thing they sell, may it be data, Add-a-line, or just accessories and if you don't make your goals consistently and have the confidence to sell then you shouldn't even waste your time because t-mobile will drop you in a heart-beat.

Advice to Management

store managers need to follow up with your associates with expectations and especially if they get disciplined, they aren't mind readers on what you want and your expectations are . on more then one different occasion with different managers i was written up for not making goals and told i would receive help and training from managers and then i would follow up and it wouldn't happen. How can an associate commit to you if you don't take the time to commit to them. Thats setting your team up for failure.

I have been working at T-Mobile part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

commison is were the money is.

    Cons

growth with in the company is all politics or whos buddy buddy with who, its a low paying job to begin with they don't really accomodate your school schedule, there very demanding of sales and numbers and will write you up over things you don't have control of, if you get promoted to "key holder" all it is is same pay but more responsibility and strees and a bigger chance in getting a write up. They dont train you they give you text book online test to teach you which are horrible and honestly dont teach you anything.

    Advice to Management

They should be more focuse on keeping there employees happy happy employees equals more sales, they forced us to buy stocks in the company, and changed the employees discounts fyi its only a 20$ deduction on your bill not really a perk discounts on in store stuff is like 5-10 dollars off if your lucky .
