I worked at TAKE Supply Chain full-time

    Pros

At the beginning of my time here, there was so much flexibility in terms of hours. And the pay is decent for the position. Some of the people are also very nice and welcoming.

    Cons

There is no company culture. The office is quiet at all times and all company get-togethers are short and awkward because there isn't an incentive to actually get to know each other. Most people that work there are older, at least 40+ as well, anyone younger than that (and there are a few younger people at the company) are often the odd man out.

The business message itself is so convoluted that from department to department, or even person to person, there isn't a clear description on what the products do and how they are relevant to growing businesses. And when trying to develop a clear message, there was so much foot-dragging on upper management's part that the project never got going. If your employees can't describe what they do everyday, how will any sort of message get across to potential customers? There aren't many customers to speak of anyway, but the business isn't growing because of it (other reasons too, of course). Further, marketing the brand is difficult anyway, but it is struggling under unprofessional, insecure, incompetent leadership, so even if the messaging is fixed, money will ultimately be wasted.

Lastly, upper management is not hiring for essential positions that would enable the company to succeed. Hiring more competent staff (upper management and mid-level employees alike) and recognizing and fostering the talent they do have is necessary for turning operations around. There is a huge gap in morale and getting fresh talent into the mix will help with it.

Also, hire a full-time HR representative.

    Advice to Management

Take a more active role in the company and its day-to-day operations. The management of the company has a history of putting all their trust in one person to ensure that goals are being met and more often than not, they aren't and the company is suffering. If you would come into the office more than six days a month, you would see the glaring issues.
