I have been working at TASC full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Unlimited Training budget and opportunities if the training is deemed desirable by your client or customer.
Great community atmosphere and management does seem to take genuine interest in employees.

Cons

Can also be disjointed and feel non-communal due in defense contractor roles. One could easily feel separated but management does try and alleviate this with meetings, events.
Merit increases have been discontinued for many departments.

    Pros

TASC was once the best of the best. The attitude of excellence permeated all aspects of the business. The great thing about old TASC was the arguments. Every opinion mattered, and if you didn't agree with your manager, it was held against you if you said so. Many changes in the corporate structure wore away at this during the Northrop Grumman years, but an attitude always persisted that TASC was a special place.

    Cons

The new management post sale from NG did everything in their power to destroy everything that made old TASC special. Every SR VP they brought in was from outside and several in particular were so utterly incompetent that the mind reels. Business wins are in the toilet due to the destruction of the BD org, and I can't speak for the business units, but moral in the support orgs is abysmal.

    Advice to Management

FIre yourself. Sorry to say, but I don't have much advice. This company will be broken up and sold to competitors within a couple years.

    Pros

They have some of the best benefits. Not only do they offer college reimbursement, but they also offer to fund certifications courses that don't count against the college fund. They do try to keep people for a career.

    Cons

There are some really great managers, and some not so good managers as with any company.

    Advice to Management

Senior management needs to ensure that middle management cares for their people which is the reason the company is successful.
