I worked at TCF full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company tries to take care of employees in little perks like free soda, casual Fridays. Friendly culture.

    Cons

Company is run by very small circle of people, albeit smart, so that chances to be enterprising are non-existent. Compensation isn't the best nor is chance for promotion.

    Advice to Management

The little perks are nice, but the company needs to offer more of what employees really want - empowerment to shape the business, obtain promotion, get merit raises (more than 2%)

I have been working at TCF full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great experience, you learn everything their is to do in a basic bank, from the ops side to the inside sales, to the going to businesses and earning their account. Some great people that are very helpful, you can basically take this job as serious as you want and come out knowing the ins and outs of banks, or coast through and just be pissed off because of the cons ill talk about next. If you learn all you can and do your best though, you will find a great 2nd job after this. You can also move up very quickly, i was a manager after only 2 months on the job.

    Cons

Terrible pay. If you don't enjoy the experience you are earning, you will be mad at how much you have to do for this terrible pay..so that can be a pro or a con, depending on your outlook. I took it as a pro, myself.

    Advice to Management

Management cant do anything to improve the pay, this is corporate.
