Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at TD full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

They'll take you with no experience, and even part-timers get full access to benefits. If you're still in school, they're open so much you can easily get the hours you need. If the team is good, it can be a lot of fun.

Cons

The hours are long and while they're supposed to rotate weekends, not all branches do. The pay is very low considering how awful some of their hours are and I expect them to lose a lot of really talented people when the economy improves.

I worked at TD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Major brand, good opportunities, above average compensation. Excels in retail banking.

    Cons

Large-corporation culture and mentality is not very conducive of creative thinking and cutting edge innovation. Takes too long to make things happen.

    Advice to Management

There has to be a weighted average based balanced and diversified score card for every function/position. Giving different names to the same function and listing them as independent functions for a score card dose not offer a correct picture of an employee capacity and performance. It skews the real picture towards the performance in the overweighted function and, in aggregate, does not allow to manage the internal talent pool effectively creating a misallocation and waist of resources.
